War Envoy, who finished twelfth in the 2014 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (gr. I), will make a return trip to the U.S. to compete in the 2015 Breeders’ Cup, although which race he will enter is not yet certain.

According to an article on the Racing Post website, trainer Aidan O’Brien has cross-entered War Envoy in both the Breeders’ Cup Mile (gr. I) on turf and the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (gr. I) on dirt, a surface on which War Envoy has never run. However, the son of War Front did train on the dirt at Keeneland while preparing for a start in the October 3rd Shadwell Turf Mile (gr. I), a race from which he was scratched after rain left the course soft.

War Envoy has run six times this year, with his lone victory coming in a one-mile handicap race at Royal Ascot.
