The two-year-old colt Ziconic, who was absent from the work tab for twenty days, returned to action on August 26th when he breezed a half-mile at Saratoga.

The second foal out of 2010 Horse of the Year Zenyatta, Ziconic–sired by Tapit–went the distance in :49.92 seconds, which was the 28th-fastest of 34 morning workouts at that distance. The breeze marked Ziconic’s first since August 6th, when he had gone five furlongs in a moderate 1:03.22.

Trained by John Shirreffs and owned by Jerry and Ann Moss–the same connections as Zenyatta–Ziconic has been training well at Saratoga this summer and should be ready to debut later this year.
