In what could very well be one of the most anticipated races of the year, the three-year-old colt Ziconic–the second foal out of the legendary 2010 Horse of the Year Zenyatta–will make his debut in seven-furlong maiden special weight on February 20th at Santa Anita Park.

Trained by John Shirreffs and owned by Jerry and Ann Moss, the same team that campaigned Zenyatta, Ziconic has drawn post position five in a seven-horse field and will be ridden by Gary Stevens. The colt–whose sire is Tapit–has posted a long string of workouts at Santa Anita in preparation for Saturday’s race, culminating with three furlongs in :37 2/5 from the starting gate on February 17th.

The complete entries for the race are as follows:

1 One More Round, Joe Talamo, A. C. Avila
2 Fast Munny, Flavien Prat, Craig Dollase
3 Dalmore, Kent Desormeaux, Keith Desormeaux
4 Adios Reality, Rafael Bejarano, Bob Baffert
5 Ziconic, Gary Stevens, John Shirreffs
6 Can’t Remember, Martin Garcia, Bob Baffert
7 Snicker, Mario Gutierrez, Jerry Hollendorfer
