Wise Dan Week, Part 4: The 2013 Breeders’ Cup Mile

Not many horses have ever won multiple Breeders’ Cup races, but Wise Dan joined that elite company with an impressive win in the 2013 Breeders’ Cup Mile. Despite stumbling at the start, settling farther off the pace than usual, and racing wide, Wise Dan still managed to produce his powerful stretch run, rallying past Za Approval in deep stretch to win by three-quarters of a length.
