West Point Thoroughbreds, which has campaigned such notable runners as Awesome Gem, Macho Again, Flashy Bull, and Commanding Curve, has purchased a minority interest in Woodward Stakes (gr. I) winner Liam’s Map.

Trained by Todd Pletcher, the four-year-old son of Unbridled’s Song had previously been owned in full by Teresa Viola Racing Stable. However, in the aftermath of Liam’s Map’s impressive 4 3/4-length romp in the Woodward Stakes, West Point Thoroughbreds has joined in on ownership of the colt.

On Monday, West Point Thoroughbreds founder and president Terry Finley posted the following on Twitter:

When asked for details, West Point Thoroughbreds’ Twitter account confirmed that “[Liam’s Map’s] connections afforded our team the opportunity to acquire a minority interest.”

Liam’s Map is expected to train up to a start in a Breeders’ Cup at Keeneland, with both the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (gr. I) and the Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I) under consideration.
