A large and talented group of U.S.-based horses led by Tepin and Undrafted will be running at the prestigious Royal Ascot meet in England this June, and on May 31st, it was announced that the U.S.-based two-year-old colt Drafted will be among them.

The son of Field Commission has run once so far, winning a 4 1/2-furlong maiden special weight at Keeneland on April 27th in the track-record time of :50.45 seconds. Trained by Eoin Harty, Drafted tracked a :22.26-second quarter-mile set by favored Spelker before running his second quarter-mile in about :22 flat and the final sixteenth in :06.11 to win by a decisive 2 3/4 lengths.

That impressive performance has stamped his ticket to Royal Ascot, where he will run in the five-furlong Windsor Castle Stakes on June 14th. After running for the partnership of Eoin Harty and P. R. Laird at Keeneland, Drafted will carry the silks of Godolphin Racing at Royal Ascot.

Additional details, including quotes from Harty, can be read on the Racing Post website.
