Slideshow: Runhappy’s Workout at Keeneland

Earlier today, the very talented Breeders’ Cup Sprint (gr. I) contender Runhappy breezed five furlongs from the starting gate in a bullet :57 4/5 at Keeneland (click here for a video), a workout that impressed his trainer, Maria Borell. “It was beautiful. I’m happy,” Borell was quoted as saying in the Keeneland Barn Notes for October 14th. She said the reason to work Runhappy from the gate “was just to sharpen him up a little bit, especially if we draw the dreadful rail again. He broke a lot better today. I think he’s pretty good at this point.”
