2013 Eclipse champion 2yo male Shared Belief, who won the Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I) in March before being eased in the Charles Town Classic (gr. II) with a hip injury, is doing well in his return to training and could return to trainer Jerry Hollendorfer’s barn at Golden Gate Fields in November.

In the Santa Anita Stable Notes for October 11th, Hollendorfer was quoted as saying “[Shared Belief is] going to gallop a few days (at the Pegasus Training & Equine Rehabilitation Center in Redmond, Washington) and when I get back from Kentucky after Breeders’ Cup I’m going to bring him to Golden Gate and starting training him, if he’s ready to do that.”

The four-year-old son of Candy Ride has won ten of his twelve career starts, with his only defeats coming in the Charles Town Classic and the 2014 Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I), in which he was bumped hard at the start and during the opening furlongs before finishing fourth.
