Poll: Who Were the Top 10 U.S. Racehorses from 2000-2015?

Since 2000, we’ve had the good fortune to watch a remarkable number of talented racehorses compete at tracks across the United States, including American Pharoah, Curlin, Ghostzapper, Rachel Alexandra, Wise Dan, and Zenyatta. They were all great in their own ways, but ask two horse racing fans which were the greatest of all, and you’re bound to get some differing opinions!

Now is your chance to let your voice be heard! Starting today and continuing until January 31st, you can submit your ranking of the Top 10 U.S.-based Racehorses from 2000-2015! How does Wise Dan’s longevity stack up against Ghostzapper’s brilliance? Was Zenyatta better than Rachel Alexandra? Feel free to share your opinions!

When creating your rankings, please take into consideration both the raw talent and the achievements of each horse. The only other requirement is that the horses on your list must have raced primarily in the United States.

Please submit your rankings by filling out the form below. Ranking a horse #1 will earn that horse 10 points, ranking a horse #2 will earn that horse 9 points, ranking a horse #3 will earn that horse 8 points, etc. The results of the poll will be posted on The Turf Board in early February–stay tuned! Thank you for your vote!
