Ocho Ocho Ocho Posts Rapid 5-furlong Workout

2014 Delta Down Jackpot Stakes (gr. III) winner Ocho Ocho Ocho turned in a very fast workout at Santa Anita Park this morning, breezing five furlongs in :58 4/5 seconds.

The workout, which was the second-fastest of fifteen morning works at that distance, was Ocho Ocho Ocho’s first since finishing third in the Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I) on April 4th at Keeneland. Trained by Jim Cassidy for owner DP Racing, the son of Street Sense is being considered for a start in either the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) on May 2nd at Churchill Downs or the Pat Day Mile (gr. III) on the same afternoon.

Also breezing in advance in a possible start in the Kentucky Derby was War Story, most recently third in the Louisiana Derby (gr. II) on March 28th at Fair Grounds. The Tom Amoss-trained colt worked a half-mile in :49 2/5 at Churchill Downs.
