Mongolian Saturday Arrives in England

The globe-trotting sprinter Mongolian Saturday has arrived in England to prepare for a start during the prestigious Royal Ascot meeting later this month.

The veteran of 33 starts rose to prominence during a busy campaign in 2015 that saw him finish second in four stakes races, three of them graded, before scoring a narrow victory in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (gr. I) at Keeneland. Since that success, Mongolian Saturday has made two trips to Hong Kong for major races at Sha Tin, finishing a solid fifth in the Hong Kong Sprint (HK-I) last December and returning from a layoff to run ninth in the Chairman’s Sprint Prize (HK-I) on May 1st.

Trained by Enebish Ganbat, Mongolian Saturday is among the entries for both the June 14th King’s Stand Stakes (Eng-I) and the June 18th Diamond Jubilee Stakes (Eng-I) at Royal Ascot.
