Mohaymen, who won four consecutive graded stakes races before finishing fourth as the favorite in the Florida Derby (gr. I), has been galloping at Churchill Downs and is expected to turn in his first post-Florida Derby workout on the morning of April 20th.

Trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, the son of Tapit is targeting a start in the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) on May 7th at Churchill, a race which he was favored to win until his surprising 8 1/4-length defeat in the Florida Derby. Prior to that race, Mohaymen has gone unbeaten in five starts, including impressive wins in the Holy Bull Stakes (gr. II) and Fountain of Youth Stakes (gr. II)

According to Churchill Downs, Mohaymen is scheduled to work at 8:30 a.m. EDT. He is one of three Derby contenders expected to breeze tomorrow, following LeComte Stakes (gr. III) winner Mo Tom at 6:15 a.m. and UAE Derby (UAE-II) winner Lani at approximately 7:45 a.m.
