Exciting news! Jess’s Dream, the first foal out of 2009 Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra, is scheduled make his long-anticipated debut on August 24th in a nine-furlong maiden special weight at Saratoga!

Trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, the three-year-old son of Curlin has had his debut delayed on multiple occasions by minor injuries, but he has turned in four workouts over the last month in preparation for this race, most recently breezing five furlongs in 1:00.70 on August 15th at Saratoga. Owned by Stonestreet Stables, Jess’s Dream will start from post position three and will be ridden by John Velazquez.

Jess’s Dream will be the second foal out of Rachel Alexandra to debut during this year’s Saratoga meet. Rachel Alexandra’s second foal, the two-year-old filly Rachel’s Valentina, won her debut in impressive fashion on August 2nd.
