Cotillion Stakes (gr. I) winner I’m a Chatterbox, who will be among the favorites in the October 30th Breeders’ Cup Distaff (gr. I) at Keeneland, turned in her penultimate pre-race workout when she breezed five furlongs at Keeneland on October 17th.

With regular rider Florent Geroux in the saddle, I’m a Chatterbox was a bit headstrong early on in her workout, carrying her head high and fighting Geroux a bit before settling down to business. According to Keeneland clockers, I’ma Chatterbox started off with fast fractions of :11 2/5, :23 2/5, and :47 4/5 before completing the work in 1:00 2/5 and galloping-out six furlongs in 1:13 2/5.

Trained by Larry Jones, I’m a Chatterbox has not finished worse than third in seven starts this year, including the Kentucky Oaks (gr. I), and with three graded stakes victories under her belt, a strong effort in the Distaff could earn her the Eclipse award as champion three-year-old filly of 2015.
