Flashback Friday: Zenyatta Wins the Milady Handicap

The great champion Zenyatta won many prestigious stakes races during her legendary career, including two renewals of the Milady Handicap (gr. II) at Hollywood Park. It was in the month of May six years ago that Zenyatta began her five-year-old campaign in the 2009 Milady, facing a field of five and triumphing easily by 1 3/4 lengths. The runner-up, Life is Sweet, was a very talented racehorse in her own right, and would go on to win the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic (gr. I) at the end of the year.
