Cozmic One and Ziconic, the first two foals out of 2010 Horse of the Year Zenyatta, turned in workouts at Belmont Park on the morning of November 14th as they continue to prepare for upcoming races.

Cozmic One, a three-year-old son of Bernardini, went five furlongs in 1:01.55 seconds, the 9th-fastest of 35 morning workouts at that distance. Ziconic, an unraced two-year-old son of Tapit, went four furlongs in :49.11 seconds, the 19th-fastest of 44 morning workouts.

Both colts are trained by John Shirreffs and owned by Jerry and Ann Moss, the same connections as Zenyatta. They have both been training throughout the summer at Saratoga and Belmont, and could potentially be ready to run before the end of the year if all goes well.
