Cozmic One Breezes at Santa Anita

Cozmic One, the first foal out of 2010 Horse of the Year Zenyatta, breezed a half-mile from the starting gate at Santa Anita Park this morning as he continues to progress toward the first start of his career.

Trained by John Shirreffs and owned by Jerry and Ann Moss–the same team that guided Zenyatta through her legendary once-beaten career–Cozmic One posted a modest clocking of :50.00, the 38th-fastest of 47 morning workouts at that distance.

Today’s workout was the eleventh of the year for Cozmic One, who appears to almost ready for his first race. Stay tuned to The Turf Board for further updates as Cozmic One prepares for his debut!
