22 Horses Entered in 2015 Kentucky Derby

A total of 22 horses have been entered in the 141st running of the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), including an unexpected longshot entry named Tale of Verve.

With only 20 horses allowed to start in the Derby, preference will be given to the horses that have accumulated the most points in official Kentucky Derby prep races. As a result, Tale of Verve and Frammento will be placed on the also-eligible list and will only draw into the race should there be on or two defections from the field before 9:00 EST on Friday.
