In what is shaping up to be one of the greatest races in the history of the Breeders’ Cup, reigning Eclipse champions Songbird, Stellar Wind, and Beholder will face off in a thrilling renewal of the $2,000,000 Breeders’ Cup Distaff (gr. I) on November 4th at Santa Anita.
Six other fillies and mares have been pre-entered in the nine-furlong race, including the grade I winners Carina Mia, Corona Del Inca, Curalina, Forever Unbridled, I’m a Chatterbox. In fact, the only entrant that hasn’t won a grade I race is Land Over Sea, who has finished second in two such races, including the prestigious Kentucky Oaks.
