2016 Breeders’ Cup Distaff Pre-Entries

In what is shaping up to be one of the greatest races in the history of the Breeders’ Cup, reigning Eclipse champions SongbirdStellar Wind, and Beholder will face off in a thrilling renewal of the $2,000,000 Breeders’ Cup Distaff (gr. I) on November 4th at Santa Anita.

Six other fillies and mares have been pre-entered in the nine-furlong race, including the grade I winners Carina Mia, Corona Del Inca, Curalina, Forever Unbridled, I’m a Chatterbox. In fact, the only entrant that hasn’t won a grade I race is Land Over Sea, who has finished second in two such races, including the prestigious Kentucky Oaks.
